Explain Why Miles Acted Badly To The Governess And Mrs. Grose?
Peter Quint and Miss Jessel being demons would explain why Miles acted badly to the governess and Mrs. Grose. It also would explain why Flora snuck out the house, and why Flora started to lose her beauty and started acting like a grown woman towards the end of the story. Peter Quint and Miss Jessel managed to change the way the children acted. Peter Quint and Miss Jessel made Flora and Miles act like they didn’t notice them when they would appear out of thin air.

Peter Quint and Miss Jessel being demons would also explain why Miles and Flora behaviors changed from the being of the story to the end of the story. At the beginning, the governess said the children were a constant joy (James 32). Towards the end of the story the governess learns

Witchcraft in Salem started when Abigail and a group of girls were caught dancing in the woods bye Reverend Parris the minister of the church. Abigail wasn’t only caught dancing but drinking blood to kill Elizabeth Proctor. In fear of rumors and being punished for their actions the girls denied everything, some even acted sick. When accused of their actions they said the devil made them and that they saw other people in the village with the devil.
