Without the National Parks and Monuments, places like the badlands, Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave and Jewel cave would not be around for very long because they would not be properly managed. The badlands erosion rates are already high and we cannot afford to increase them and make the badland disappear in a thousand years. The wildlife needs to be properly managed because there are rare and endangered animals in the park, and without the proper management the animals would not exist in the park.
Wind Cave and Jewel Cave need to be properly managed because without the proper management the caves could be destroyed. The caves are fragile because they are not exposed to water or sunlight so they need to be protected from anything not natural to the cave. Without the preservation of the caves they would be destroyed in no time and future generations will not be able to enjoy the natural phenomenon.
The gold mines need to be properly managed because gold is a finite resource. Without the proper management the mines will shut down faster than expected because all the gold has been mined or because there is environment issues.
