Explain Why The End Of A Cycle May Be Broken
I think that one of the generalizations connected to the story was that “cycles may be broken.” The reason that I believe this is because the continuing pattern was that the balloon would always follow the boy around, even though many people tried to stop it/him. The balloon would always find a way to be with the boy. But it was broken at the end, when the balloon was hit, and the cycle ended. Many of the other generalizations would not have worked. “The end of a cycle cause the cycles to begin again; a cycle may appear to have no beginning or end.” That does not work, because as it showed in the film, the cycle did have an end. The balloon died. The cycle was not able to start all over again. Now, I agree that the generalization that

A red balloon in the book is a symbol given to Bobby from Nia. The symbol represents an incoming surprise for both Bobby and Nia. The balloon represents Nia being pregnant, and she gives Bobby the balloon to tell him or let him guess about what the balloon is for, Because Nia does not tell him right away about what the balloon was for. Bobby without knowing what the balloon means is happy and thinks the balloon is just a gift from Nia, so while Nia does not look as happy, Bobby has a big smile on his face.…

People’s perceptions often cloud their judgments. As one lives his life, he notices the character of people and naturally tends to associate their character with a generalized group that they belong to. For example, one may have noticed that a tall man is good at basketball because he sees tall men play on professional basketball teams. He then assumes that tall men are naturally good at basketball and therefore tall men must play basketball. This generalization is untrue however because there are many tall men who are not skilled at basketball and therefore would prove his generalization incorrect. The misperceptions that we naturally have need to be analyzed thoroughly because it is nearly impossible to accurately generalize a whole group of people.…

Within the black balloon this is shown through the character of Tom coming to terms with the fact that Charlie, his autistic brother isn’t going to change and that it’s not Charlies fault. Quote to show Thomas’s disapproval ‘’I don’t want anything to do with him, he is a freak’’. Also within the first scene we see a collection of red balloons been let into the sky and a single black balloon following close behind. The use of colours as an effect allows our reading path to engage in the meaning behind the balloons and link it to the way Thomas see’s his brother. Change is also demonstrated through non diegetic sound of the song “fall at your feet” by Crowed house, lyrics”the finger of blame has turned upon itself and I’m more than willing to offer myself, do you want my presence or need my help’’ suggests that Thomas finally realises that it’s not his brothers fault, that he is the one that can’t accept it and we interrupt through the lyrics that tom understands that he needs to change. This is also supported through the scene when Thomas quotes to Jackie his girlfriend that he has quote, “fucked up’’. Finally we see change in Thomas when he opens up to his brother and starts to spend time with…

Everyone has plucked a dandelion and blew it in the wind never thinking about the consequences of that action. It is the same with mistakes made in life where it isn’t big or obvious instead it is something small or something that was quick. Later though that small thing comes around again and now you must face it and deal with the problem or it just keeps coming back. The dandelions in the end of the poem “bloomed and closed, and opened up, and blew” The problem didn’t just show up and then go away, instead it continued the ugly cycle of replicating itself. That little white lie that continues to grow until the story is so convoluted that one can’t even remember what the truth really was.…
