Explain why you would rather live in the city, in the suburbs, or in the country.
Nowadays, when our modern society is developing incessantly, more and more people from other areas move to live and work in big cities each year, especially the young. In spite of noises and pollution, people in the city still believe that the modern and busy life here is the wonderful dream of most of them. The reason is that they will have many chances to get large benefits and advantages when living in the city, including three typical factors: education, employment and entertainment.
The first factor is education. City is the place which gathers a great number of schools, colleges and universities. So children, teenagers and students have chances to study at high quality ones. Not only the young but also the adult can learn whatever they need for their jobs and careers. Those can be short courses about accounting, taxes, soft skills or even long-term courses such as Master of Business Administration or Master of Biotechnology programme, etc. The most important thing that everyone is interested in is foreign language. If they want to study English, French, Japanses, Chinese, etc., they can register to take class immediately without worrying about moving too far. It can be said that the diversity of different kinds of education is the greatest benefit that a big city brings to citizens. Employment is the next factor. Beside schools, city is also the place which many kinds of company are located. People at all ages, especially the young, will have a lot of job opportunities. For students, this is the heaven after graduating from universities. They can get a wonderful job with high salary, favourable working place or even fast promotion in the big firms or multinational companies. That is the thing all people desire. For companies, the city is usually the first choice in order to recruit the talent with young and enthusiasm from top universities. Therefore, the number of graduates who stay at city is increasing now.
Finally, it is entertainment. After working or studying hard, human would like to relax and entertain. The city is the best one for people to do this. There are so many kinds of entertainment that perhaps they do not have chances to try them all even they have lived here for a long time. In the weekend or free time, they can go to the cinema to watch the lastest movies, go to the parks to play games, to go picnic or just simply to walk or go to the sports centre to do physical exerciese, etc. It is not overstated that all people’s entertainment needs can be satisfied in the city. Education, employment and entertainment are three typical factors of the life which each person will experience. But the point is where he or she will do these. And living in the city will be chosen by most people because of the benefits and advantages it brings. In my opinion, living in the city may not be the best choice, but that is the most suitable one for people who love modern, convenient and busy life.

My primary reason for choosing the country instead of the city is the clean environment. The air smells fresh and clean, because there are less cars creating pollution. In the city, there are busses, taxis, and cars on all the streets contributing harmful chemicals into the air. While automobiles are not the only cause of pollution, there are also more factories and plants to pollute the air. In the country, the only major industry would be farming, which does not pollute the air in any way. There are more people in the city breathing the air and less forest area to help control the pollution. Since there are less people in the country than in the city, the amount of littering on the roads is also less. The polluted air is very harmful to the human body and that is why I will choose to raise my family in the country where there is less pollution. The clean environment is not the only reason that I will choose to live in the country.…

Life in the city is challenging, but it provides many opportunities unlike country living. There are many activities taking place around the clock. Shopping services are convenient and close, which offer anything a person could want or need. It is also a good place in case an emergency was to occur. Hospital, police stations and firefighters would be easy to get in touch with. The city life provides many advantages of a modern society, but it carries a heavy cost. For example the housing and food in the city are expensive. Another major advantage of city living is public transportation. Transportation is always there, but it gets expensive when you take a taxi to and from work every day. We have all heard of the term “downtown", which is all the entertainment in the city such as clubs, restaurants, and other major social events. In the city there are many more stressed people. All of these things take a huge toll on one's body over a period of years. Another huge problem in the city is the air is polluted. The opportunity to relax in the city is most likely to never happen ,if you lived in the country you can relax whenever you would like.…

It is a well-known fact that the world is becoming increasingly urbanized. In almost every country in the world the trend has been for more and more people to move from small towns to larger cities. Although there are certain aspects of living in small town that I would appreciate such as clean air and less noise, however the urbanizing trend pretty much reflects my own preference for living in a big city rather than in a small town, because in my opinion the place one lives in plays more important role in one’s life in terms of wider range of opportunities. I think the education and career opportunities are the most prominent among them.…

Unlike the country, the city is full of action. The city is full of different colorful lights at night, tall and short buildings all around, vehicles traveling at a steady pace, and people walking towards their destination. In the city, not much of nature or animals are within sight. It is a place that is fast paced compared to the country which is a slow paced environment. If you have two choices: life in the city or in the country, which one will you choose? .Some people think that city life has more benefits than country life; however, some people agree that country life is a real life like a nice dream: hearing nature’s music, seeing sights of the land and its beauty, and planting trees. Even though, city living and country living might be considered similar, as night and day but from a broader perspective, they both have some differences in conveniences, life conditions, and people's characteristics,…
