To Whom It May Concern,

Please accept my resume for the open position. I am confident that my background and skills in research techniques will prove to be an effective match for your qualifications.

My Bachelor of Science degree is from the University of Pittsburgh. As my resume indicates, I have a great deal of laboratory experience in Chemistry and Biology, both indoors and in the field. The Chemistry laboratory techniques I conducted included: preparation of esters and synthesis of various polymers and distillations. I am also familiar with HPLC testing and QC procedures.

In my time with Ferro Corporation I was the QC chemist for a multimillion dollars customer. I was responsible for the production of several different glass and automotive coatings. I was able to decrease the time it took to make products, which saved the company both time and money. I also saved the company approximately 200,000 dollars by establishing a rework group. The primary responsibility of this group was to reuse both old and unsatisfactory material and convert the products into useable product.

PPG afforded me the opportunity of work in a research and development environment. The main objective at PPG, included developing a Chemical Agent Resistant Coating for grenades for the United States Army. The coating, as well as being chemically resistant, had to have a good gripping surface on it to allow for a safer release of the grenade. In addition to my laboratory experience, my background as a medic and officer in the Army for almost 10 years has allowed me to participate in a team atmosphere and to work under pressure. The Military has taught me how to allocate personnel to get a job done in a timely and safe manner. The United States Army also prepared me for a disciplined, secure work environment and the challenges associated with unexpected events.

My above experiences have been positive ones due in part to my interpersonal skills. I perform

Three events that arguably had the most profound effects on warfare was the advent of three different “ages”: the Napoleonic age, industrial age, and nuclear age. Napoleonic Age. In the eighteenth century, European warfare was comprised of long-service regulars, officers from the nobility lacking military training, and a professional infantry recruited from the dregs of society requiring strict discipline. Warfare was slow because armies marched around towns (rather than through them) and could only march during the daytime, given that infantry may try to desert under the cover of darkness. Armies were very expensive, so warfare consisted of ongoing maneuvering to try to cut off the other army’s supply line.…

The North and the South The North and South had similarities and differences in the 1800’s, but can the differences drive them to a civil war? Women were mad about having so little rights, slavery was being questioned, and the political parties couldn’t seem to agree. Women in the United States had little rights, but women in the North had more, but not where it really counted. In the North, women had ownership of their wages and property (Holt, pg. 427). New York demonstrated giving women more rights, than other Northern states soon followed.…
