In the novel, Football Champ, There is a boy named troy who has to lead his team, and the NFL’s biggest star, to victory. I bet you don’t know a twelve year old that can predict game winning football plays, well now you do. Troy is the Atlanta Falcons best player, even though he isn’t actually a player he can think like one, he knows the right calls to play at the right time, and that can even lead his own team to victory and possibly make it to the NFL someday too. That is, if a reporter with a history doesn’t ruin it for him. This is an essay showing determination and kindness throughout the book and in real life today.
The theme of my novel is, if you dedicate yourself to something you can accomplish anything. This is conveyed in the book because in the novel, Troy’s football team looses their coach so Seth Halloway, (NFL player dating Troy’s mother), Jumps in and dedicates his time to help lead his team to the championship. For example a quote from my novel is, “You all have put too much time and effort to loose the championship, you can win, you will win.” This quote says that Seth knows the team is dedicated and have the ability to win, he just has to push them so they know that they can win against the best team in the whole state. This helps to prove that Seth is dedicated to helping the Duluth Tigers (Troy’s team) to victory by showing he is dedicated by caring about them winning. So, all in all, the theme is conveyed in this part of the book by showing that Seth is dedicated to helping Troy's team win.
My article relates to my book because in both story's there is a great deal of determination and kindness is displayed. My article is about a woman skier who trains very hard to get to the Olympics and does make it but gives up her spot on the USA team to her sister who is also a skier. This article supports my novel by showing that the events happening in the book are realistic events. A quote for the book to support this is,
