Extravagant People In America
Since the US is considered the wealthiest country in the world and one of the highest gross domestic products. Only 5% of the american think that is a serious problem. The population is extravagant in its consumption of the world resources. It boasts more billionaires than any other countries. The US has families who have insufficient income and resources to afford the basic necessities such as decent housing or sufficient food or basic services like child care or doctors. About 12% of American do not have enough to eat or suffered other material hardships. That amounts to 37 million people who live below the poverty line in other words 1 in 8 American. 12 million of the children live with the families with income below the federal level.
More children live in poverty now than 25 or 30 years ago and the numbers are increasing. The reasons behind poverty is low education level, lack of jobs, drags, devours, teens get marriage in the early ages or personal problems such as chronic illness or accidents. Even immigrants in the us live in poverty, because some of them whose language and culture is different so they find it hard to overcome it so they work in a poor work. Thomas Payne and Barbara Holt, Rogarland Roberts, and John Lockeridge are example of people who live in poverty. They say that they always poor all the time, having large families they grew up in poor families. But with the good lord they survived. Dr. Ruby Payne, the president, aha! Process, Inc, says that those who grow up in poor families are more likely to be poor as adults. Thus perpetuating a cycle of Generational poverty, that means they have been in poverty two generation.
