Whether it be fighting to receive a promotion, or to create the next best product, competition is inevitable. At state competitions the stakes are that much higher which result in a drive deep within. Having missed the chance to go to state my sophomore year by just one place, I had a goal to not be defeated when my opportunity came around the following year. The state competition is a whole new ball game, no home field advantage, no fans, and even faster pitchers. Having swung and missed a couple times in previous years, it was time for a grand slam. My competitive drive was awakened at these various competitions, and will continue to prosper throughout my education and career. The motivation created due to my competitiveness makes me a tough opponent on any level.
Future Business Leaders of America has allowed me to take classroom knowledge and incorporate it into real life scenarios. My experiences at the state level have left me with a strong work ethic, strategic focus, and a passion for business. My collaboration with fellow peers and business professionals has sparked energy and creativity within me which inspired leadership and the discussion of business challenges.
