FIBER CONTENT

Feel test – Wrinkle free, fade free, shrink free, light weight, frequently sold in the tropics, transparent fabric

Burning test- Burns quickly, crushable bead, less residue, shinny, and unpleasant smell

Fiber- Polyester

YARN COUNT

Yarn count= no. of yarns× length of the yarn

169× weight of the yarn (gms)

Warp= 10×10/169×0.01

=100/1.69

=59.17

Weft= 10×10/169×0.01

=100/1.69

=59.17

GSM

GSM= weight of the yarn of 10cm× 10cm ×100

= 0.65 ×100

= 65 gm/sq.m
