Dear Sir
We have the pleasure to submit our report titled “Communication Pattern among Different Levels of People: On using facebook”. This was a good opportunity to deal with the problem on the communication pattern of different level of employees in an organization.
To complete this report fruitfully we used combination of questionnaire, interview and case study methods. For case study method we chose three employees of two different levels. Among these three employees there were two male and one female employee.
We found that communication in government organization is more rigid than the public organization. More interesting is that although it is rigid but communication in-between government employees of same level are more flexible and friendly than the private one.
We once again thank you for giving us a chance to do this project which, we believe, will help us in our future professional life.
Yours Sincerely

We prepared this report with pleasure and enthusiasm since this report improved our knowledge about how employees in an organization communicate with each other to run the organization smoothly and how they overcome different types of uncertain communication problem.

To complete this report fruitfully we used combination of questionnaire, interview and case study methods. For both questionnaire and interview methods we chose three employees of three different levels. Among these three employees there were two male and one female employee. For the case study we carefully chose mid level employees who have to communicate with both high and low level of employees.

We found that communication in government organization is more rigid than the public organization. More interesting is that although it is rigid but communication in-between government employees of same level are more flexible and friendly than the private one.

We are very much grateful to Dr. Faheem Hasan Shahed, our respected course instructor of “Business Communication”, who assigned us this challenging project. He always guided us to take and overcome this challenge successfully. Without his help in every step of it was quite impossible for us to finish this report properly in time.

Our cordial thanks to those people who are engaged in the organizations in different levels where we visited.

At every moment we remember all of our friends and peers who encouraged and helped us a lot in every stage of this project, with their support, encouragement, affection and suggestions. Without their guidance and friendly co-operation this project would remain a dream.

At last we want to show our gratitude towards the almighty God for giving us the knowledge, time and opportunity of completing this work.

Introduction
A social networking service or Facebook is an online service, platform, or site that focuses on facilitating the building of social network so social relations among people who, for example, share interests, activities, backgrounds, or real-life connections. Facebook consists of a representation of each user (often a profile), his/her social links, and a variety of additional services. Facebook users can interact over the Internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging. Facebook allow users to share ideas, activities, events, and interests within their individual networks.
FB contain category places (such as former school year or classmates), means to connect with friends (usually with self-description pages), and a recommendation system linked to trust. FB is an American-based service.

Social impact
FB make it possible to connect people who share interests and activities across political, economic, and geographic borders Through e-mail and instant messaging, online communities are created where a gift economy and reciprocal altruism are encouraged through cooperation.Information is particularly suited to gift economy, as information is a nontrivial good and can be gifted at practically no cost.
Facebook - social networking tools are increasingly the object of scholarly research. Scholars in many fields have begun to investigate the impact of social-networking sites, investigating how such sites may play into issues of identity, privacy, social capital, youth culture, and education. FB is providing a different way for individuals to communicate digitally. 1
Additional features
Facebook have additional features, such as the ability to create groups that share common interests or affiliations, upload or stream live videos, and hold discussions in forums. Geosocial networking co-opts Internet mapping services to organize user participation around geographic features and their attributes. FB users can now create their own profiles, make friends, participate in chat rooms, create chat rooms, hold private conversations, share photos and videos, and share blogs by using their profile.
Some mobile phone companies provide wireless services that allow their customers to build their own mobile community and brand it; one of the most popular wireless services for social networking in North America is Facebook Mobile.

Social networks and science
One other use that is being discussed is the use of social networks - FB in the science communities. Julia Porter Liebeskind et al. have published a study on how new biotechnology firms are using social networking sites to share exchanges in scientific knowledge.
They state in their study that by sharing information and knowledge with one another, they are able to "increase both their learning and their flexibility in ways that would not be possible within a self-contained hierarchical organization." Social networking is allowing scientific groups to expand their knowledge base and share ideas, and without these new means of communicating their theories might become "isolated and irrelevant" 02
Social networks/FB and education
The use of online social networks by school libraries is also increasingly prevalent and they are being used to communicate with potential library users, as well as extending the services provided by individual school libraries. Social networks and their educational uses are of interest to many researchers.

Professional uses within education
Professional use of FB service refers to the employment of a network site to connect with other professionals within a given field of interest. Other network sites are now being used in this manner,FB has become mainstay for professional development as well as promotion and online support both the maintenance of existing social ties and the formation of new connections. Much of the early research on online communities assume that individuals using these systems would be connecting with others outside their preexisting social group or location, liberating them to form communities around shared interests, as opposed to shared geography. Resource can take the form of useful information, personal relationships, or the capacity to organize groups. As well, FB service also can be established or built by joining special interest groups that others have made, or creating one and asking others to join.

03
Social networks and employment
A final rise in FB use is being driven by college students using the services to network with professionals for internship and job opportunities. Many studies have been done on the effectiveness of networking online in a college setting, and one notable one is by Phipps Arabie and Yoram Wind published in Advances in Social Network Analysis.
Many schools have implemented online alumni directories which serve as makeshift social networks that current and former students can turn to for career advice. However, these alumni directories tend to suffer from an oversupply of advice-seekers and an undersupply of advice providers. One new social networking service, Ask-a-peer, aims to solve this problem by enabling advice seekers to offer modest compensation to advisers for their time.

Social Interaction
Put simply, FB is a way for one person to meet up with other people on the net. People use FB for meeting new friends, finding old friends, or locating people who have the same problems or interests they have, called niche networking.
More and more relationships and friendships are being formed online and then carried to an offline setting. Psychologist and University of Hamburg professor Erich H. Witte says that relationships which start online are much more likely to succeed. Witte has said that in less than 10 years, online dating will be the predominant way for people to start a relationship. One online dating site claims that 2% of all marriages begin at its site, the equivalent of 236 marriages a day. Other sites claim 1 in 5 relationships begin online. This is done by the FB. 04
FB plays a vital role in this area as well. Being able to meet someone as a "friend" and see what common interests you share and how you have built up your friend base and "likes" you can truly see a fuller picture of the person you are talking with. Users do not necessarily share with others the content which is of most interest to them, but rather that which projects a good impression of themselves.

Privacy
Privacy concerns with FB have been raised growing concerns amongst users on the dangers of giving out too much personal information and the threat of sexual predators. Users of this services also need to be aware of data theft or viruses. In addition, there is a perceived privacy threat in relation to placing too much personal information in the hands of large corporations or governmental bodies, allowing a profile to be produced on an individual's behavior on which decisions, detrimental to an individual, may be taken.
In medical and scientific research, asking subjects for information about their behaviors is normally strictly scrutinized by institutional review boards, for example, to ensure that adolescents and their parents have informed consent.
Privacy on social networking sites can be undermined by many factors. For example, users may disclose personal information, sites may not take adequate steps to protect user privacy, and third parties frequently use information posted on social networks for a variety of purposes.

05
Notifications
There has been a trend for FB to send out only 'positive' notifications to users. Facebook will not send notifications to users when they are removed from a person's friends list. Likewise, Bebo will send out a notification if a user is moved to the top of another user's friends list but no notification is sent if they are moved down the list.

Access to information
Facebook, provide the user with a choice of who can view their profile. This prevents unauthorized user(s) from accessing their information. Parents who want to access their child's Facebook account have become a big problem for teenagers who do not want their profile seen by their parents. By making their profile private, teens can select who may see their page, allowing only people added as "friends" to view their profile and preventing unwanted viewing of the profile by parents. Most teens are constantly trying to create a structural barrier between their private life and their parents.
To edit information on a certain social networking service account, the social networking sites require you to login or provide a password. This prevents unauthorized user(s) from adding, changing, or removing personal information, pictures, and/or other data.

06
CASE STUDY
Case studies were the most important part of data collection for this report. Employees of different organization shared their views and thoughts about the communication pattern in their respective organization.

STUDENTS, PROFESSIONALS AND JOB HOLDERS

Yes , we have a facebook account. For one and half hour we use it. We don’t think It hampers my important work because we use Facebook in my leisure time. We don’t think it hampers our study because we use facebook for passing our free time when we have nothing to do.

When we was create our facebook account we just forgot some privacy setting after sometime many unknown people post or tagging useless things and it was annoying us. After that we was control our privacy setting and editing it by timeline and tagging for tackle that. For my brother we need blood, but we don’t get it anywhere. By facebook status we get blood which group we need. This is really a memorable experience.

Social networking can enrich social lives for those separated from family and friends by long distances, bringing them together despite the physical separation. This has recently come to light in the number of people using facebook to stay in touch. That’s why we feel facebook place positive impact in our social life. Yes we feel facebook place positive impact in our professional life also. For example: Facebook can connect us with other professional in our area of work, which can be used for asking them question or possibility to finding a job. And yes we feel facebook place positive impact in our personal life. For example: Facebook can help people to stay in connect with family, friends and many other people.

No we don’t accept friend request from anybody except my friends and family and yes we trust all of my friends in facebook. We think facebook is safe for privacy if we adjusting our privacy setting perfectly.

We have one cousin and her age is 11 and she use facebook. When we become know about her then at first we were telling her that don’t use facebook now because you are underage user but he doesn’t hear me. 07
So after that we was adopting another option. Facebook requires it’s user to be at least 18 years old before they create an account is violation of our statement of rights and responsibilities. We can report an underage user. We will promptly delete the age of any user under the age of 18 that is reported to us through this form. We think minimum 18+ age limit for facebook use. The other facilities we expect from facebook are we want facebook create security system more harder then peoples account can be more secure.

Conclusion
As the most popular social network service FB is the best. It is putting its foot-print to everywhere. Here we discussed all about FB.

Social Media is one aspect of technology that has recently taken the world by storm, affecting others’ lives as well as my own. One of the first and most influential texts I have ever encountered is the social media website Facebook. From this outlet of technology, I learned more about what was going on in the world and how people of all ages reacted to significant events and even led me to form my own opinions about the subjects. Facebook is also a very appealing website to me, allowing expression of one’s feelings and offering the ability to stay in contact with others. This social media giant has also become an addiction to my generation and has been allowed to define us in some ways. Although Facebook also has its disadvantages due to a lack of privacy and face-face interaction, all of these aspects of Facebook have impacted my life and the world as I have come to know it.…

The field traces its lineage through business information, business communication, and early mass communication studies published in the 1930s through the 1950s. The current field is well established with its own theories and empirical concerns distinct from other fields.…

Butler 1 Intellectual Growth and Inquiry 14 March 2011 Facebook: From Whiteboard to World The evolution of the Internet over the past twenty years has changed the way we communicate with others across the world. However, it was not until the late 1990s that the Internet really hit a growth spurt. With such concepts as email and online advertising catching on, the Internet began to expand quickly. Shortly after this rapid growth, MySpace was created and was one of the first websites under the category of social network. With it becoming instantly popular among young users and musicians, it seemed as though MySpace would just be another online meeting point for younger generations; yet at the same time, another of its kind was being created in a Harvard University dorm room that would redefine social networking and, eventually, the internet. Birth of a Nation On a whiteboard in 2003, Harvard sophomore Mark Zuckerberg began conceptualizing a new social network. Zuckerberg was a computer science major and already had previous success with computer engineering. During his senior year of high school at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, Zuckerberg and a classmate co-wrote Synapse, a music recommendation program (Grossman, “Person of The Year 2010: Mark Zuckerberg). The program had caught the attention of Microsoft and AOL, both of whom unsuccessfully made attempts to buy it for around one million dollars (Grossman, “Person of The Year 2010: Mark Zuckerberg).…
