Research statement: Factors affecting on the internal temperature of the human body.
Purpose of investigation:To find out which all factors affects on the steady level of temperature in human body. My factor is that external/environmental temperatgure affects on the internal temperature of the body.
Hypothesis: Environmental temperature affects on the internal temperature of our body. When external temperature is low internal temperature becomes high.
Scientific support: when the environmental temperature is very cold the hypothalamus receives information from the thermoreceptors in our skin and activate the warning mechanism. these includes contraction of the skin arteriols so that thw amount of blood flowing is reduced and is send through deeper organs nd the tissues less heat is loss by radiation. The hypothalamus also stimulates skeletal muscles to begin shiwering. this nearly constant use of many muscels resuls in the generation of body heat and create a warm effect.
Requirements:
Thermometrers-6
Ac -1
Classroom-1
Stopwatch- 1
Subjects- 6 (1,2,3,4,5,6)
Variables:
Independent: Age
Dependent: Internal temperature
Controlled: Gender, thermometer scale, time, external temperature
Procedure:
1. Choose a room with AC. (So that the external/ enviromental temperature is controlled and can be measured)
2. Set the temperature of the AC to 24 degree Celsius. (The first medium of Cold Temperature - Cold)
3. Place the 6 subjects (1m) away from each other in the room. (They won’t absorb the heat radiated by each other.)
4. Put the thermometer in each subject’s mouth and record the current temperature. (thermometer should be put inside the mouth because our mouth is internal part of our body and it is easier to measure the temperature)
5. Start the stop watch
6. After 15 minutes, record
