INTRODUCTION
The most significant breakthrough of teaching as a profession was enacted of R.A 7836, “The Teachers’ Professionalization Act of 1994.” The whole education world had causes to rejoice upon promulgation of the law, for now the teaching profession was at par with the other 41 professions of the country. The Professional Regulation Commission listed teaching as the 42nd profession in the Philippines hereon, nobody would engage in the profession without a license (Colinares, 2010) Licensure examination for teachers provides a valuable framework against which teaching practice can be measured and certified. The professional license serves as the passport to practice the profession. (Salandanan, 2001). It is a very important examination, as ones’ teaching career may well depend on its outcome. This’ of course is a source of worry for teachers (Guanko, 2011). Passing the Licensure examination, you will be a professional teacher and has the rights and privileges as a licensed teacher with accordance with the Magna Carta for public teachers. He or she will therefore qualify to teach in government recognized schools in the country. Passing the LET brings prestige not only to the passer or to their family but also to the school where they study (Buhay, M., B.M., G.G., 2003). And understanding why candidates fail is an excellent way of recognizing and avoiding the most common pitfalls and traps (Gondolo, 2005). There is no magic in passing – solid training, broad experience and clear thinking are all basic requirements. But a prescription for failure is a lack of preparation, which includes not only knowledge but also understanding of what is expected by the examinees (Glass, 2005). And causes of poor quality of education are inadequate faculty credentials, facilities, others are unregulated expansion of local states and universities. Knowing the factors affecting the probability of passing the Licensure Examination for teachers is a great help not only for Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education and Bachelor of Secondary Education students but also to the students who are enrolled in the program related to education and will take LET in the future in their preparation for the licensure examination. Being able to pass the Licensure Examination is a big achievement for education students and having a great number of passers will help the school to attract more enrollees in the future.

Teachers are by far the single most important profession field in the world. They teach students how to think, how to do math, how to write, how to read and many other important life skills. What would happen if Educators did not exist? We would turn into a country like Ethiopia, one of the top 10 least educated countries in the world. This would be the downfall of our civilization. Teachers aren’t recognized enough for the time and effort they put into their teachings of their classroom. Education is important to any nation that would want its citizens to prosper and pursue a higher stand on education. Each profession occupies a specific niche in society, doctors cure, engineers design and bankers handle our cash. Teaching, however, stands out as a more prominent entity. In our country, I think the most important public servants are the teachers. With so much going on around us, all we can hope is for things to get better. Teachers, in my opinion, are going to be our best weapon for our future. By instilling good habits and the right morals in the Filipino students at a young age, the prospect of a better future looms. As Rizal said, “the youth is the hope of the nation”. But who guides us during our learning years? Our beloved teachers.…
