Introduction
Education in today’s life plays a vital role in the development of a learner. The acquisition of new knowledge, information and the way one responds to the learning environment makes him a holistic learner. One of the most important in shaping the mind and the heart of a learner is to train them on how to grow independently, how to apply what they learned inside the classroom in their real life situations, and how to understand things and make them useful to one’s life. To make it this possible learner should have their own ways on how to practice study habits. People’s personalities are based on their good and bad habits. Good and bad habits can influence everyone’s personal and social life, they can also help better on your life and bad habits can make it worst. In school, student creates his own image for a better life. However, many of the habits needed to truly be successful are learned outside the classroom. Developing good habits that will help students of all ages succeed can never start too early. These routines will help students in school and for the rest of their lives. It will give them the tools they need to live life to the fullest. On the other hand, there are many factors which may affect good study habits. Study habits can be affected by the environment in which the student studies, the family condition where the child starts to begin his journey and the amount of time used for studying is another affecting factor. To address to his problem, we need to have an effective study habits that will serve as a sole weapon and strong assurance that they can be successful through the obstacles of education.
Statement of the Problem This study was conducted to describe and to assess the different factors affecting the study habits of Senior High School students of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University during the school year 2013-2014. More specifically, the study sought answers to the following questions: I. Time Management

Significance of the Study The significance of the study can be seen right away with the title. We want to know the factors affecting the study habits of the senior high school students. This study will hopefully be helpful for the students to be focus on what is on their hand right now which is education. The findings of the study would be at great value to the following:
Parents. Through this study, parents would probably be reminded of why they enrolled their son/ daughter in school. And of course the parents will be of a great hand in the study, because technically speaking they are the ones responsible for their child’s being.
Teachers. The teachers as we all know acts as our second parent in our considered second home. It is they who will be responsible with the students while in school. And it will also be beneficial for them because this study clearly states “distraction-free class” wherein they could discuss teach and discuss without any disturbances.
Respondents. This study was specially made for the students, which will act as our main respondents. They are the ones who will give us the answers to our findings. After all they are the ones who will greatly benefit from this.
Future Researchers. This study is useful for future researchers as it will serve as a reference. This study would provide them information about the study habits of students.

Scope and Delimitation The respondents of this thesis work would be the Senior High School students of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University. The analysis would be conducted in the Laboratory High School only. Questionnaires, books, internet, reading materials and consultation from the expert will be used to gather the needed information of the study.
Definition of Terms
Study Habits- the behaviors used when preparing for tests or learning academic material
Beneficial- something that has a positive effect or achieves a good result
Distraction- something that takes your attention away from something on which you should be focused
Disturbance- an interruption of what should be going on or a bothersome intrusion
