PROCESS
Survey Questionnaire, ANOVA
A. CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
OUTPUT
To know the effects of alcohol to college students and what are the effects to them.
INPUT
Interview using survey forms college students

B. RESEARCH DESIGN
This study will use an exploratory descriptive research designs since we interviewed and questioned our respondents. With this research design we will determine why college students drink alcohol, what the effects of alcohol to the college students are and how to prevent college students to drink alcohol.

C. RESPONDENTS OF THE STUDY
There will be a set of respondents from the School of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management students at Mapua Institute of Technology that age ranges from 18 and above by giving them a survey questionnaire.

D. RESEARCH LOCALE
This study will be conducted by surveying the students at Mapua Institute of Technology Intramuros Campus.

E. INSTRUMENTATION
The instruments used to by the researcher to the respondents are the survey questionnaire.

F. DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

Data Analysis The following statistical tool is used in analyzing and evaluating the data gathered through the self-administered questionnaire: * ANOVA – was used to test the significant difference of the data gathered.

    Objective.—To examine the extent of binge drinking by college students and the ensuing health and behavioral problems that binge drinkers create for themselves and others on their campus. Design.—Self-administered survey mailed to a national representative sample of US 4-year college students. Setting.—One hundred forty US 4-year colleges in 1993. Participants.—A total of 17,592 college students. Main Outcome Measures.—Self-reports of drinking behavior, alcohol-related health problems, and other problems. Results.—Almost half (44%) of college students responding to the survey were binge drinkers, including almost one fifth (19%) of the students who were frequent binge drinkers. Frequent binge drinkers are more likely to experience serious health and other consequences of their drinking behavior than other students. Almost half (47%) of the frequent binge drinkers experienced five or more different drinkingrelated problems, including injuries and engaging in unplanned sex, since the beginning of the school year. Most binge drinkers do not consider themselves to be problem drinkers and have not sought treatment for an alcohol problem. Binge drinkers create problems for classmates who are not binge drinkers. Students who are not binge drinkers at schools with higher binge rates were more likely than students at schools with lower binge rates to experience problems such as being pushed, hit, or assaulted or experiencing an unwanted sexual advance. Conclusions.—Binge drinking is widespread on college campuses. Programs aimed at reducing this problem should focus on frequent binge drinkers, refer them…

    Students in third level education have been identified as a population at risk of heavy drinking. Therefore in line with the national alcohol policy strategy, Irish colleges were invited to develop their own alcohol policies. According to the College Lifestyle and Attitudinal National Survey (CLAN), as a result of their alcohol use, students experienced harms such as regretting things said and done after drinking (62%), felt effects of alcohol while at class/work (50%), missed school/work days (44%) and harmed studies/work. In my opinion this is clear evidence in favour of why UCD has its own alcohol policy. In addition to this, college students are more likely to binge drink (having more than four pints of beer or a bottle of wine or equivalent in one session), which is strongly linked to them being less likely to use positive coping strategies when dealing with anxiety or depression (CLAN).
