especially the areas that are overly exposed to it. On top of that, food labels do not show percentages of how much sugar is in a serving of any food. The food industry is basically allowed to lie to the general public in which they are promoting their food to. Sugar is not the only terrible thing about the food and health industry, but are in a way working together. Shocking to say the least, would be to find out that two rival industries are in a way working together.
It was pointed out in this documentary that the health industry is buying stocks in the food industry, fast food, junk food and soft drink companies. If you are trying to help people get healthy and live healthier lives, then why buy into the companies that are making people’s lives worse. I do not understand how people could morally go against something that they are publicly trying to fight. It is one hundred percent going against everything they stand for just to make some extra money. Does it make them feel better? Do they feel that they could never succeed spreading the message of healthy? It is absolutely disgusting to me and makes me question people’s actual
intentions. With not exactly knowing everything there is to know about fighting obesity there should be more of a battle to help our youth. The older generations should be looking out for them and helping them to learn right from wrong yet children are struggling to fight this health epidemic. It was said that there were only ever one or two overweight kids in classes and over the years it has risen to eight to ten kids in one class. They are clear targets of the advertisement industry and food industry and are ganging up on kids. It is sad that food industries are not smart enough and are willing to stoop so low to belittle themselves to kids. Overall, I do not understand how these people can live with themselves and sleep at night knowing they are harming such a large amount of people. Watching this movie, I have a ton to think about. I think this movie will definitely help me put what I eat and do into more of a perspective. I do need to pay more attention to what I eat and I want to do more to help people make smarter choices. To top everything else off I find that what is going on is absolutely disgusting and I hope that the health industry stops making sacrifices to make food industries happy. If they do not stand up for themselves, they are not standing up for the general public and the millions of lives that have been negatively affected by their doings.
