I don’t think that it would ever end up where books are banned in America. If it did happen, this would go against the first amendment. Even though it said in the book that the books being banned were in the Constitution, we wouldn’t have books being banned in our’s because our country wasn’t founded on that principle. …show more content…
The First Amendment doesn’t state that bookstores have to sell every book they are asked to sell. If a book was really bad, the stores would know that they’re not going to make any money from the book.
Now, this fictional world could happen in other countries like North Korea or China who are under a stricter government. Since this book is based in the United States of America, I don’t think it would happen in the US. The United States would never come to that kind of government where it turned to dictatorship. In the book, they did make the country with those laws in place so it is not like they added them after they put in the Freedom of Press.
So in conclusion, books wouldn’t be banned in America. A first reason is that we already have a right that says we have the Freedom of Press. A second reason is if a book was really that bad, stores wouldn’t sell it because no one wants to buy it so they wouldn’t be making any money from the book. A final reason is that America isn’t a dictatorship so they wouldn’t take away our freedoms like
