There are similarities and differences of dystopian society to modern American society found in Fahrenheit 451 and firemen, 2081 and tv also Fahrenheit 451 and books.

The similarities of the fire department in 451 and MAS are they both deal with fire, both 451 fire department and MAS were created by Ben Franklin. The difference with 451 fire department is they like to start the fires and burn things. There job is that if you are found with a book they will come to your house, burn the whole house down and the books (just to make sure they got everything). “A great nuzzling gout
of flame leapt out to lap at the books and knock them against the wall. He stepped into the bedroom and fired twice and the twin beds went up in a great simmering whisper, with more heat and passion and light than he would have supposed them to contain. The difference with the MAS fire department is that they put out the fires, they rescue and care for the civilians, they try to work on preventing fires to start in the future, and they care for the sick.

The similarities of 2081/Harrison Bergeron and MAS are they are allowed to have a television set. The difference of 2081/Harrison Bergeron and MAS is 2081 can only have one channel as for MAS they are allowed to have at least 100-1000 channels. Also 2081 has one news station that they tell the citizens for what they want to hear. Another difference is that the government controls what network is playing for that time since they have only one channel. “We interrupt our broadcast of the National Ballet’s, “Sleeping Beauty” for important breaking news” (2081 transcript.) In MAS the government does not control what the citizens watch but the FCC looks over what goes threw to make sure it is appropriate for anybody to watch but put sensors in. “The Federal Communications Commission regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories.”

The similarities of 451 and is they both have books, also some books are kept from the government.
The difference with 451 is they are not allow to have books, is they are seen with books their house will get burned and the books will burn. “Books bombarded his shoulders, his arms, his upturned face A book alighted, almost obediently, like a white pigeon, in his hands, wings fluttering. The difference with books in MAS they are made to read, learn from and make people have great imagination. “Books are uniquely suited to helping us change our relationship to the rhythms and habits of daily life in this world of endless connectivity. We can’t interrupt them; we can only interrupt ourselves while reading them. They speak to us, thoughtfully, one at a time. They demand our attention. And they demand that we briefly put aside our own beliefs and prejudices and listen to someone else’s. You can rant against a book, scribble in the margin, or even chuck it out the window. Still, you won’t change the words on the page” (The Guardian

There are law of similarity and differences of dystopian high society to modern American society uncovering in Fahrenheit 451 and firemen, 2081 and tv also Fahrenheit 451 and books. I have learned that a dystopian is not a place where everything is perfect. Not everyone is going to like to same thing and to try to make that happen you are making matter worse than just leaving a normal socicity. A MAS is much better because everybody has there happy own life and no one is being brought down to make other people equal.
