As the population of whitetail deer continues to rise in Kentucky, chances of taking one increase as well. In “Kentucky Deer Season 2013: Hunting Forecast” Darren Warner of OutdoorLife.com states that “The current statewide population estimate for Kentucky's deer herd is about 900,000 animals.” Due to the abundancy of deer, during the apocalypse they will be a great source of food for you and your group. However, after the kill, most hunters do not know what to do next, and those who do often do not take the most ethical route to processing a deer. Compocalypse students need to know how to efficiently process a deer because venison will provide large, protein packed meal during the apocalypse and can also provide skin to make clothing out of,…
Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- For decades, gun-grabbers have been using the “gun show loophole” to push their gun control agenda.…
All in all, it is not a good choice for American society at the present stage to ban gun. From the constitutional view, Gun Ban is contrary to the constitution of human rights and protection spirit; from the political view, it will increase the risk of tyranny; from the economic view, it will lead criminal squares to become one of the guns of the monopolist; from the social reality view, it leads to the lack of citizen means of self-defense; finally, from social culture view, it does not conform to the American culture tradition and social psychology. I think the key to the problem of gun crime is not the gun itself, but the deep problems of the society, such as poverty, social life and so on. I think gun control is just a…
Should the Gray wolf be taken off the endangered species list and should they be allowed to be hunted like the common coyote? Scientific evidence does not suggest that wolves should be hunted in Michigan. Moreover, every reason that has been offered for why we should allow wolf hunting is misguided. They are hunted in areas where they have become highly populated for example in areas such as Montana and Idaho because their numbers have increased over 5000 they are killing off the deer and elk population. By controlling the wolf inhabitants it would insure that the wolf does not starve because they ate all their prey.…
The topic I choose for my essay is how bow hunting is different than gun hunting. Hunting in general is one of my favorite things to do. Getting everything ready for archery season is a lot more time consuming than it is for gun season. Bows take a lot more practice to get set perfectly for a great aim. Guns are more easily sighted than bows. Bow hunting also take more strategy and patients because you have to wait on the deer to get closer to you. With a gun you have a farther range to shoot. Also the location of your stand is different with bow hunting. You have to make sure you have open places with to branches covering your shooting area. Gun hunting you can shoot threw brush and small limbs. There are so many differences in bow and gun…

Your home alone on a cool quiet night; you roll over and witness a large individual kick in your door with a twelve gauge shotgun. You hear him coming up the stairs, what do you do? Run? Call the police, or do you grab your gun and protect you and your children. Now if you were to take the gun out of the situation what would you have done? The intruder is already in your house where your kids sleep at night, and the police's response time is not going to be fast enough. What if you were able to hide, well you can not hide forever and eventually he will find you. No matter what you think, or how you feel about guns; if you were to put yourself in that position. You would be very grateful for the gun that saved you and your precious children.…
Gun controls vs. gun rights have been an issue for many years. With every death used by guns, the debate gets hotter and hotter. Gun control believers want you to believe that if all guns were outlawed then there would be no crime. Gun rights believers want you to understand that it is your constitutional right to own a gun. Unlawful or irresponsible people contribute to the debate between gun control vs. gun rights.…
The sound of a gunshot, complimented by screams, everyone’s nightmare. To think this could be avoided is absurd, or is it? Millions of Americans ponder this thought; yet, no official outcome has been ratified. To come to a proper mutual agreement, time is no longer an obstacle. We as the people, have statistics of pro guns vs against guns to show the proper choice in each scenario. Some people believe guns on campus will cause an array of problems; however, with proper training and discipline, safety will become a concrete practice.…
Approximately 30,000 people die a year because of guns when they are used in both self defense and murder. Many people argue whether restrictions on guns should be enacted or repealed. Tensions have grown high on both sides of the issue making it a hot topic in our country today. Many people cast their votes in the last election based on their feelings about this very issue. The divide among Americans when it comes to gun control is large, spanning from those who want strict regulation, including an outright ban on all firearms, to those who want complete legalization of individual gun ownership. Guns can be used for killing or protection, so it is important to examine all…
Every seven and a half hours a child or teen is killed by a gun by either accident or suicide (Victim). Around the world guns and the way they are being portrayed through technology are starting to become more and more advanced. This creates openings for guns to enter lives, in which they may have no business in being in. One great examples of one of theses lives would include the life of a young teen or child. The outcome of these situations can occasionally end very badly for all the people in harm’s way and destroy the safety of many people including the one that falls victim to caretaker of that certain child.…
College students and others who visit college campuses should be able exercise their Second Amendment by being able to conceal carry on school property in order to protect themselves from danger. Many mass shootings, assaults, and rapes have occurred in the last few years on college campuses and in nearby communities. If people were allowed to protect themselves from attacks with a firearm, it would significantly reduce the number of attacks in "Gun-Free Zones", so the United States government should allow campus carry.…
The Second Amendment of the Constitution was created to protect the right of individuals and militia to keep and bear arms. In 2015 a survey of American fears was conducted by Chapman University which reported that 36.5% of Americans said they were “afraid” or “very afraid” of gun control (Ledbetter). Gun control has become a hot button issue within the scope of politics. This brings to the surface questions of why Americans are so afraid of gun control. An increased push in the desire for gun control legislation causes fear in Americans because of the perceived loss of control with personal protection. Along with this lack of control comes increased feelings of vulnerability, self-preservation, and a lack of empowerment.…
Being an International student, American politics never seemed to interest or bother me. However, after taking this class, it has gotten me thinking about the various policies and proposals by the various candidates in this upcoming election. The main topic that developed my interest in politics was the response 1 on Gun control. I never knew what the second Amendment meant until I took this class. With the recent shootings that’s happening all over US, the issue on gun control has become an open subject to debate on. Being assigned this topic made me more familiar with the events that has been happening in the real world. With the unfortunate events of San Bernardino shooting and the recent UCLA shooting, it has gotten me thinking about whether there is a need for a change in the second Amendment or not. Furthermore, the humorous videos by Jim Jeffrie and John Oliver and numerous informative memes has only enhanced my interest regarding this topic. I also found it to be very interesting on how Australia dealt with this similar issue by taking away people’s gun even though it had been governed by a conservative party that went against its own belief. Moreover, with Bernie Sanders hosting a rally at UC Davis, I was very keen in listening to what he was saying. I never thought I would go to such an event.…
One of the biggest controversial topics in America today is Gun Control, whether we should or should not have gun control. The Government claims that if they take the guns away, that there will be a drop in deaths and crimes. The Second Amendment state that every citizen of the United States of America has a right to bare arms(ProCon#1). The Gun Control Law will take away that right completely, along with some of our freedom. If the Gun Control Law is enforced in the United States, our hunting right will be removed, our self-defense right will be taken away, and it will amplify the problem.…
