Sarah reports, rarely having alone time or time to socialize with friends. Sarah also describes added job tension due to missed work, when caring for Paige during exacerbations of her asthma. Stephen acknowledges the tension in their relationship and would like to increase their couple time. He states he would like to improve the family’s relationship with his parents. Although Stephen and Sarah identify strong relationships with their children, they also identify sibling rivalry, as Justin feels Paige receives more attention from the parents and maternal grandmother due to her chronic illness. Stephen and Sarah are comfortable with the maternal grandmother and school in managing Paige’s medications, as well as acute asthma attacks. Finally, although the interviewees do not mention the dog, an inside dog may be a health concern for Paige. Paige is a well-mannered, shy young girl, but often scolds the dog when the dog approaches
