Family Service Research Paper

Every country (nation) have many obstacles that they must face, depending on the country their priorities change. For the United States of America the controversies that they face vary, from immigration, school shooting, guns safety, or most currently the presidential election debates. One event that keeps happening nationwide are the murders of children committed by their parents. As soon as the cases are investigated we’re told that the parent(s) suffered from depression or some sort of mental health. That most of the children were physically abused or mistreated at home. With most investigations we are soon told that family service, social workers, or the local police at some point were contacted before the murders occur. The exact statistics of how many victims fall under the circumstance of family service, social workers, or police being called upon isn’t exact. In this past week 3 children became the most recent victims to fall under this circumstance. Their names were “Luis Alfanso Fuentes, 10; Juan Daniel Fuentes, 9; and Alexander Fuentes, 8” (…..) who were the victims of a brutal murder in Los Angeles, California. Or perhaps it’s not the workers but the system failing the people. Society should bring up cases like Fuentes, and demand answers to what should be done. Sometimes when the children are being victims to sexual or physical abuse by a parent or someone close, they could lash out and worse things could happen. The killings of children committed by their parents should be a political issue, where governors or presidential candidates should talk more about. It’s not okay to see more children being murdered and simply saying that the parent(s) suffered from a mental issue.
