This specific killer only uses knives to kill, but often not the same one each time. But with so many different weapons that could be used to kill, why only use a knife? “Many offenders want their crime scenes to look a certain way. They want a specific type of victim. And often there is heavy fantasy involvement in how they kill. Thus, much of their personality is left at a crime scene” (Psychology Today). Often serial killers will use the same weapon to kill, prefers to use knives. This particular knife is his favorite one, newly bought. Many other serial killers abused drugs. “More than half of the study subjects were found to be actively abusing drugs at the time of their crime, and almost half were intoxicated. Alcohol was the drug most often abused” (Yarvis). He drinks alcohol quite often, and sometimes also uses other drugs, such as marijuana. “Moreover, marijuana and amphetamines in addition to alcohol were abused in 10 percent or more of the cases” (Yarvis). It makes him feel better, he enjoys taking the drugs. He knows that what he does is bad, and not acceptable, but it just does not affect him. He doesn’t feel bad about the crimes he
