But one thing I always wanted to do was build my own shoe design and make profit off them and make a name for myself, basically build a career off it. I can draw well so I know that’s a big stepping stone a head starts basically on my career. Study fashion design; studying fashion designs is really an easy concept but also kind of difficult because the way everyone dresses and wear their shoes and things in this generation, to be a success in the designing industry you got to create things basically you must design things how the style and culture is now and days or It want sale or be noticed. There are over 300 programs accredited by the national association of schools of art and design.…

My love affair with fashion started years ago, but over these past 2 years it has grown into something so beautiful. Fashion made it’s grand entrance in my life when I was looking over a Chanel catalog along with a few other designers. For example; Vera Wang, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, Phoebe Philo, and many more. The designs caught my eye and I was just mesmerized by it all. It literally took my breath away! I always told myself and my family that I will grow to be an amazing fashion designer and sell beautiful, elegant clothing known to man. A worldwide known designer.…
is owned by the famously well-connected and well-married Miller sisters, daughters of American duty-free billionaire Robert W. Miller and his wife Maria Clara. Pia married oil heir Christopher Getty, Alexandra wed Prince Alexandre von Furstenberg, the only son of fashion designer Diane, and Marie-Chantal is married to Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece. Always on the best-dressed lists, the socialite sisters are the last word in what is chic and fashionable. Their image and the M brand are so well-defined, that when customers shop at their store, they feel confident that their purchase has the stamp of approval of the elegant owners. These customers travel, and can shop anywhere in the world, but choose to patronize M.…
I am the perfect candidate for the Fashion Institute of technology because I am inquisitive; I am always craving more knowledge no matter what the topic - I am a leader, I enjoy coming up with fresh, new ideas and I am an intensely passionate person. Though, unlike many other FIT applicants, I haven’t always had a “passion for fashion”. Growing up, I wanted to be an Architectural engineer. It wasn’t until someone close to me gave me my first Michael Kors handbag my 8th grade year that I began to develop the passion I have now. Handling this bag was when realized my obsession with high-end fashion was only beginning. I was amazed at the production work put into making the merchandise. Of course the beauty of fashion is interesting, but what…
In The Wealth of Nations, Adam Smith made the classic observation that individuals acting in their own self-interest can benefit society more than they expect to. My predilection for fashion developed since I came to Singapore at the age of 16. I still remember the gigantic poster of Prada featured Sasha Pivovarova hanging over the shopping mall, so impressive I was even though I had little knowledge about high fashion. Nowadays, my attachment to fashion becomes an obsession. There are piles of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar under my bed. I also surf on Style.com to access the free fashion updates. The TV series Mad Men leads me to appreciate the 60’s fashion style and develops a love for vintages. I believe FIT is the right place where aspiring young people pursue their dreams in the fashion world.…

Ever since I was a little kid, I have always loved getting dressed up and being fashionable. Even now as a teenager, I enjoy experimenting with different makeup looks and hairstyles. I am currently working on getting my cosmetology license from Millstream before I graduate high school. I am enjoying cosmetology classes; however, I do not want it to be my main job. In the future, I would like to pursue a Fashion Merchandising and Product Development degree at Bowling Green State University. I hope to expand my knowledge in Fashion Merchandising with the goal of working in fashion or cosmetics. In addition, I would either take a minor in marketing or go to New York and take some classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology. I plan to work hard…

When I look for a fashion designer to interview, I had other option: Christine who works in American apparel. One of classmates introduced me her when I asked him if he knew any designer who I can ask for an interview. However, It seemed to be more interesting to ask Agassi Nakhapetian the interview and, I thought he might be able to tell me more about the career he did for 20 years and the thing he experienced as foreign designer in United State. Since the language barrier I had was the thing that I am most afraid of when I think about getting a job in New York, I wanted to hear from him and he seemed to have answer for this. I didn’t know if he was a designer, yet I noticed that his class had something different after weeks of class with him. Unlike other draping class I had been through, it wasn’t an old way practiced in school only. He wanted us to be more flexible and taught us the way he did in industry. I thought it might be worth to be brave and ask him if he could give some time for the interview assignment. I asked him if he was working in an industry as a designer now to make sure if he is. He friendly said that he worked for women’s and men’s clothing line as a designer. That night, I emailed him and asked him if he could help me with interviewing assignment. When I had positive answer from him saying that may be he can make some times after the class , I clearly explained what it is and attached the interview schedule.…
There are also numerous amounts of jobs in the fashion industry such as a store manager who would be in charge of the store, employing workers, selling the products and ensuring that the store is well stocked with the latest and best selling fashions.…
I am interested in the fashion branch, especially to work with textile and making forms on the human body. However, I am even more attracted to the more timeless branch to textiles. The fast production and the “no-time to waste because then this fashion is out”, what is made by the big fashion concerns is what i do not like in fashion. This does not correspond with the current trend of a sustainable world. I think the focus is fashion should be on protection, functionality, sustainability, quality and advanced capability of cloths.…
