1990s Fashion
In the 1990s there was a lot of things going on with fashion and with social issues. There was riots in LA. A lot of things happened in the 90s good and bad. The fashion was tremendously taking over a bunch of the world but it mostly impacted teens. Criminals got caught in the 90s and it was a very good 10 years.
1960s Political Historical and Social Events
In the 1990s a lot of things were going on during that time period. There were social issues as well a political issues. One big event was on May 18th 1990 it was the biggest art theft in history.There were 2 thieves disguised as police officers. They stole 15 pieces of art which is 500 million dollars worth and they still have not found it yet it has been over 25 years with an ongoing investigation. They told one …show more content…
Tie dye was very cool also along with army jackets and what not. Abercrombie became a very big thing and american eagle as well . Pants were baggy and underwear was visible. Also girls started wearing more revealing clothing because female rapper Lil Kim said there is no such thing as going too far. Converse were a big deal and vans were to if you had those or jordans then you were pretty cool. Also brought up by rappers were grills they are a retainer type thing but made out of gold. Oversized sweaters were popular .
how it affected.
The 90s fashion had some affect on what happened in the earlier paragraphs. Since sagging pants was popular in like rap and stuff and gangsters they might have saw Rodney as a threat or thought he was going to do something bad since that was what gangsters wore usually. Jeffrey Dahmer's case could be tied in with fashion because guys were starting to be more like girls during this time period that is why he only chose men. With the paintings it doesn't really tie in together or really reflect on each other.
