In 2017 alone, 880 people have been shot and killed by police. In 2017, as of November 20, there have been 21 more fatal police shootings than the previous year. This tells us that instead of trying to handle the situation in a civil manner, police officers are using excessive force and irrational actions to take care of things. This brutality has been a major point in national news over the past years, and for good reason.
