Fate In John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men

Can one escape their imminent consequences of the decisions they make or will reality eventually find a way to clinch it’s jaws around one’s fate? In the novel Of Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, this seems to be a widely debated topic.
