If we look deep down in the roots of the evolution of the Homo Sapiens from the primate apes, we notice a basic and natural tendency of the evolving man; to find for himself the best and to develop his life and the way of his living, and this is the behavior which sets him apart from the rest of the organisms. The zest, for him to find the best had and will lead him to develop, not only physically, but, also mentally. Due to this tendency the primate apes have developed into Homo sapiens, and will continue to do so. With the development of man, man’s practices developed and soon formed the foundations of his present day technology, as man evolved his technology evolved. The basis of this technology consisted of the basic primitive discoveries and inventions such as fire, the wheel, agriculture, the lever, domestication of other species, and other various things.
Now one may not find them too substantial, but without these basic foundations the rest of the building comprising of today’s modern vehicles, power, food, machines, medication, etc would not have existed. Man’s lust of development is leading him to his own destruction. He developed the technology for benefit, but he over utilized it too much to prove this foundation of development to be the biggest hindrance for his and other species’ sustenance.
Supposedly, a car is being driven at a very fast speed on a frozen lake, it is obvious that it will pass the signal unnoticed or too fast as it will cross the signal even before it can see it or apply brakes to the car; eventually causing an accident. Over here the car is the developed technology evolved by man and time itself, the driver is the human race, the signal is the limit beyond which if we go will lead to catastrophe and the accident caused is the final outcome or the catastrophe caused. Evidently the technology is not the cause of the catastrophe, but, the over utilization, exertion or miss-utilization caused
