INTRODUCTION
Bad breath is one of the serious problems in the world especially those people who are unaware that they are adding bacteria in their mouth and became worse in the future. Researchers from the Institute of Dentistry at Queen Mary, University of London, discovered that dental problems affect up to 3.9 billion people -- more than half of the world's population. According to World Health Organization, Risk factors for oral diseases include an unhealthy diet, tobacco use, harmful alcohol use and poor oral hygiene, and social determinants.
According to the results of the 2009 Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS), almost half (48 percent or 14.6 million) of adult males and 9 percent (2.8 million) of adult females are current smokers in the Philippines. An Assistant professor of periodontology at Ohio State University, Purnima Kumar said, “The smoker’s mouth kicks out the good bacteria, and the pathogens are called in. So they’re allowed to proliferate much more quickly than they would in a non-smoking environment.” After eating, a lot of bacteria will stay in our mouth which is one cause of having a bad odor in our mouth and with the addition of smoking, the harmful bacteria in our mouth. This is one reason why some Filipino even other people are not confident in speaking because of the foul odor after eating and not brushing their teeth. Brushing alone are not enough because the bristles can’t reach the bacteria between the teeth. Students and employees find it so hard to bring toothbrush and toothpaste everywhere they go. That’s why the researcher decided to make a way for the people to have a fresh breath whenever, wherever they will go with just a low-priced, handy, organic, and safe to use anti-bacterial mouthwash so that the bacteria in their mouth will be prevented in multiplying. This is one way of the researcher to help the community and the people on it so that will have a fresh breathed community.
