If the Federal Bureaucracy was a co-equal branch of the federal government it would be considered a branch of government. The reason why is because consists of the roughly 500 departments, agencies, administrations, authorities, and commissions that carry out responsibilities assigned to them through Congressional legislation (Election 2016: Don't overlook an out-of-control burgeoning bureaucracy). An example of their power is on the first day of the government shutdown in 2013, federal agencies awarded 26 contracts worth more than $130 million (Morning Examiner: Meanwhile, in other news, federal bureaucrats still gone wild). There are more than 100,000 federal contracted employees in American, as well as, overseas. They get raises every year, along with additional pay for the cost of health care. industry that will make it more expensive and less likely for low and middle-income Americans to save for their future (Washington’s Bureaucracy Strikes Again). The saving that people depend on to be able to retire with. This is the reason why you see many more people working longer than the normal 20 to 25 year expected retirement. The economy is growing each and every year, and the money that people saved isn’t lasting as long as people thought it would. The Federal Bureaucracy also has power that can affect you in other areas. Such as, The Veterans Administration has scandals are delaying life-saving health care treatment for thousands of our nation’s veterans. The Department of Health and Human Services are forcing employers to take abortion-pill to violate their religious beliefs. The Climate-change regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency are killing jobs and stifling the economy. The National Labor Relations Board rules favoring union bosses over American workers (Election 2016: Don't overlook an out-of-control burgeoning bureaucracy).
After researching and studying this topic I never known how much power the Federal Bureaucracy had in the United States.
They might not make the law, but they are the ones who enforce the changes. They put all the pieces into effect and make it work by any means necessary. The phase “get away with murder” applies to a lot of the bureaucrats. They can avoid and manipulate the laws they are supposed to enforce, but thinks that the laws doesn’t apply to
them.
