group to move on with the journey because he knows they don't have a lot of time to waste, even though he may also be depressed by their loss.
When faced with the ring, some people like Boromir can not stop the temptation of the rings power. But when Aragorn had the opportunity to take the ring for himself, he refused to betray Frodo and went with his word to protect the group and destroy the Ring “I promised to protect you” he said. The Uruk-Hai were catching up to them so he told Frodo to run away, he then proceeded to fight the Orcs so they won't notice Frodo running away because their main goal was to take two hobbits.
During the battle between the Uruk-Hai, Aragon had to desicion to make; either to follow Sam and frodo to mordor and destroy the ring, or save merry and pippin from being taken to Isengard. He had chosen to let Frodo go and save the other two hobbits. If he left them go off with Merry and Pippin would have been tortured until left told Saruman were the ring’s location. THis changed his identity because before he came a leader he wouldn't of attempted to rescuing Merry and Pippin, but Aragorn had sworn to protect the group.
In The Lord of the Rings, Jackson shows that all of Middle-earth is going through hardship which alters everyone's identity.
Some were destroyed by this conflict, others had their identity changed. Aragorn is a great example of how adversity can influence a person's identity. Near the start of the film the main Protagonist became the leader of a group called the Fellowship after Gandalf passed; the main goal was the group was to take the ring to mordor to destroy the ring and put an end to sauron's evil. During the battle between the Uruk-Hai merry and pippin were taken away. And once the fight was over His became a true leader when he lead the rest of the group in search for the two taken hobbits. Through the film he slowly became the leader the group needed to become successful in destroying the ring because of
adversity.
