Who are Mildred Montag and Clarisse McClellan? Mildred and Clarisse are the main female characters in Fahrenheit 451. These two women both represent the two sides of society. Clarisse represent the feared and unspoken. She is extremely anti-social to the outside world. While Mildred is more outspoken. Mildred is a social able person that falls in with the crowd. She does everything everyone else does. She honestly does not care about anything or anyone. (Besides her TV family) Everything about Mildred symbolizes the other side of society.
