As I read this scene in the play, I really didn’t take into consideration any specific emotion troy would be feeling and showing while explaining his past. In the movie, he seemed very emotional and I would say a little choked up in talking about his father and his past. He was also drunk in the movie while talking about it so that added a little more to the scene as well as he talked and kept drinking his alcohol.
