The theory describes five systems called the micro system, the mesosystem, the exosystem, the macro system, and the chronosystem. The micro system is the daily activities and interactions in your environment like your family, friends, neighbors, teachers and anyone who you have direct contact with. The program is an example of a micro system because a child has direct contact with a caregiver, friends and the instructor of the program. The program happens every Wednesday, so consistent attendance creates a pattern of daily activities for the child that can affect a child’s behavior. The Program also relates to the mesosystem. The mesosystem is the pattern of relationships in the child’s life interacting with one another. The program combines the parent/caregiver relationship at home and the instructor/friend relationship at the library. The two interact with each other that can influence the child’s behavior.
