Fifty Shades of Grey, was a decent book however what really got me to read this book was that I had read this poem from EL James. She had said that, “Sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong with me. Perhaps I've spent too long in the company of my literary romantic heroes, and consequently my ideals and expectations are far too high.”(GoodReads) I then discovered she had written this book, and I had to read it.
The book Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James was published by the Writers Coffee shop publishing house in Australia in twenty eleven. It is the first book in the Fifty Shades trilogy that traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. The other two books in the trilogy are Fifty Shades of Darker and Fifty Shades of Freed.
I believe that the author has a relationship to this book because it seems like these could be her fantasies because of how the text is written. The first few chapters of book of the book started out as a naive, bookish girl who meets an attractive billionaire CEO and the lust beings. Pretty much saying that she had falling in love many times before and now she really thinks that he is the one, which could possibly relate to what the author might be going through or trying to express. The rest of the book is explicit sex and at first it was "steamy" but I quickly found myself wondering when it would end. However, Anastasia seemed like she loved to be controlled and Christian deffinetly loved to control her.
Therefore, there are a lot of reasons why people would like this book and there are many reasons why people would not like this book. This book also has a lot of positives, because there are reasons that a lot of female readers have purchased this book because it’s both a love story and it also has a bit of a kinky factor with its bondage and dominance
