Ali takes his little sister Zahra's shoes to the shoemaker to be repaired, but loses them on the way home. The siblings decide to keep the predicament a secret from their parents, knowing that there is no money to buy a replacement pair and fearing that they will be punished. They devise a scheme to share Ali's sneakers: Zahra will wear them to school in the morning and hand them off to Ali at midday so he can attend afternoon classes. This uncomfortable arrangement leads to one adventure after another as they attempt to hide the plan from their parents and teachers, attend to their schoolwork and errands, and acquire a new pair of shoes for Zahra. At her school, Zahra sees the shoes on a schoolmate's feet, and follows her home, but the two soon become friends.

Ali enters a high-profile children's footrace in the hope of receiving the third prize of a new pair of sneakers. He accidentally places first and wins another prize instead. The film ends with Zahra finding out that she will not get a new pair of shoes, but

there is a quick shot of their father's bicycle at the end of the movie that shows what appears to be the red shoes Zahra had been focusing on earlier and another pair of white sneakers, presumably for Ali, whose old sneakers were torn from so much use. The film ends with the final shot showing Ali dipping his blistered feet in a pool. Writing credits(in alphabetical order) | Majid Majidi | | |

People were fleeing Europe to join the Crusades in search of fortune or salvation. Europe was in a state of disease, poverty and famine; the people suffered greatly. During the Middle Ages, illness and misfortune was considered punishment from God for sins committed. It was thought that in order for people to be free of their despairs they had to ask for forgiveness and find salvation. That was why many people joined the Crusades, to redeem themselves in the eyes of God. Another reason for people to join the Crusades was for adventure, or a new chance at a better life. Men were often discontent and wanted to partake in war and be a hero. The land of Jerusalem also meant new opportunity, a place to set off to and forget the life left behind.…

There are many interesting weapons in Aztec history. They used many different weapons, including clubs, atlatls, bows, Macuahuitl, spears, lances, and slings. The Macuahuitl is a very strange sword which has jagged edges along the edges. Spaniards used to claim, “ ...It could cut off a head of a horse in one swipe.” It was very useful to the Aztecs because the Spaniards all had armor, and the sword would make a jagged cut through it. Then, they can continue using the Macuahuitl or another weapon as they slaughtered their enemies.…

Throughout the novel, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, several motifs are used as a way to bring a deeper meaning to quotes that may see you uninteresting from the surface. One very prominent motif in this novel is dreams and premonitions. These motifs are used throughout the novel as ways to introduce foreshadowing and insight into what characters may expect to happen.
