Executive Summary
This report aims at analyzing the types of working capital loans enjoyed by local RMG manufacturers from one of the renowned bank UCB (United Commercial Bank Ltd.). The reason we have selected such bank is that this bank is one of the well-known banks of our country and provides a large sector of loan to the readymade garments sectors. Thus they were able to provide us with the vital information that will enrich the quality of the report.
All the documents used in the report are collected from both primary and secondary sources. Most of the data are from primary sources especially from the bank manager and some internal documents of UCB. Some statistical data are collected from the secondary sources as internet.
At first the report shows an overall role of garments in our country, what types of RMG exist in our county along with what are the government regulations for the RMG exporters. In the second section the report analyzes the types of loans provided by UCB and their measurements’ for providing it. That is their purpose to give a large portion of the company’s loan to the RMG sector. Besides this the section also describes what are qualifications the clients need to have in order to be a RMG working capital loan holder in the particular bank.
The third section deals with the chart of sanctioning a RMG working capital loan by UCB form the beginning to the end. There is also a brief summary of the process followed by this bank while accepting a loan proposal.
The fourth section profoundly emphasizes on the necessary documents of the client and his business required by the bank while analyzing proposal. This is the section that is given the highest prominence by the bank and analyzed very carefully. If needed any third party or audit is also hired to do the calculations. This part also included some calculations on how the company does the working capital assessment for a firm.
