One Weekend. 12 Boys. That in very few words describes the Rochester baseball tournament. But a quick summary of the weekend is that we all drive down there, and we spend the day all about baseball.
When we first get down to Rochester we check into the hotel room. he first thing that happens is we all get on the bus and we are off to the field for our first game. After the game we all head back to the hotel get changed and we hit the Rochester City, normally going to a burger joint not to far from the hotel. After we have fully engorged ourselves with food, we are always too stupid to wait for the bus so we always decide to run back to the hotel which was 5 miles away but hey 12 boys running around the city at
10:30! Super Smart! I always find it funny how we are all excited to run back to the hotel, even though when coach tells us to run on the we always try to get out of in. I think it is because field once we get back to the hotel it’s a race to who is in the pool first and who gets thrown in.
With all the fun that we have we end up not playing a whole lot of baseball because our first game was rained out after an hour wait in the coach’s minivan. I think we may have ruined the speakers in his car because we had over half the team in that minivan with the car moving side to side with teenage boys running into each other and the walls of his minivan. After that we head back to the hotel and shower up even though we haven’t played a whole lot of baseball that day. We always take the shuttle to some burger joint in downtown Rochester we stuff our bellies with as much food as we can. If i could describe our bill based on the parent reaction in a sentence, that sentence would read: WHAT DID YOU BOYS EAT!? We end up not even eating all of it just so we can eat it up while sitting pool side, or even when we are in the hot tub!
After the cheeseburgers in the hot tub we realized that we haven't done anything stupid in
