It is my pleasure to congratulate you on making such progress with us in forming your business plans for Landslide Limousines. It has been our pleasure to help you become a successful player in the Limousine industry in the greater Austin, Texas region. As we are in the final week of our consultation I would like to give you some recommendations on recruitment and selection strategies, which you will soon be in need of.

Organizational Goals
It is pertinent that we begin this consultation with defining your organizational goals. These goals will determine exactly, the characteristics you will be looking for in your future employees. The goals in which Landslide Limousines should be striving for are: 1) To serve the greater Austin, Texas region with the highest service in limousine transportation, and 2) To attract and retain, repeat, loyal customers. To better understand your current customer base, in addition to your future customer base, it is necessary that we take a deeper look into the demographic numbers. After researching demographic data of the City of Austin from the 1990, 2000 and 2010 Census’, here are a few main extrapolations. The Hispanic/Latino community is surely the most interesting of the bunch. This group has nearly tripled in size from 1990 to 2010, growing from just over 106,000 individuals to nearly 280,000 (City of Austin Demographic Profile). The effect of this great boom of the Hispanic/Latino demographic translates to an increase in percentage of population from almost 23% in 1990, to just over 35% in 2010 (City of Austin Demographic Profile). This is a trend that will surely continue; not only in the City of Austin or the State of Texas, but also in the entire

This can be done in many ways. One of these is by conducting an organizational analysis. Incorporated in this process is what is known as the SWOT analysis. This will identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the business at the current time. So the first step is to figure out the strengths of the company. These should include great customer service, clean, well-maintained vehicles, and being able to get the clients to their destination in a safe and timely manner. Possible weaknesses in the Austin, Texas market could be not having enough drivers and vehicles to handle the load of clients, and inexperienced drivers. Opportunities should include the vast amount of possible clients to serve including tourists, business clients, wedding parties, and sporting events. The last step in the SWOT analysis is threats. In this case the possible threats include the amount of competition in the market, prices charged to customers for services rendered, and being able to meet the needs of clients. Knowing this information allows the business to train properly for the market. Conducting this SWOT analysis, will allow Landslide Limousines to prepare the training methods needed to handle any possible weaknesses and threats, as well as improve on strengths and opportunities in the desired…
