In this week’s Lab I learned how to configure switches in one of the three VTP modes (Server, Client and Transparent) and to configure Virtual LANs and STP using Cisco switches, and established connectivity between routers and switches through default VLAN 1 by Configuring trunking between the switches. Moreover I configured a switch's IP address and subnet mask. In addition I Arranged basic switch features on a switch and configured hostnames on devices. This exercise was beneficial because it was timed, and a real life career setting time constraints are always a factor. In addition this newly acquired knowledge to configure switches in one of the three VTP modes will most likely be on the CCNA test.…

I have accomplished a great deal in the past three months. As the semester ends I find myself reflecting not only on how I have survived the first semester but also what I have learned. Writing is hard work. There is so much more to it than just writing an interesting story. I also learned another important lesson; just because I worked hard on an essay before presenting it and reviewed the daylights out of it did not mean it was ready for submission. Every time I went back to read it I found new changes, typos and other mistakes I had missed before.…

    C. As a child, you learn just about everything from experience. For example, I learned to spell at the age of 2 because my mother not only spoke words to me, she spelled them out to me as well. I was able to spell and understand large words such as boa constrictor at the age of 4. Had I not experienced this, I doubt I would have been able to spell and read at such an early age.…

The senior project, the project all seniors dread as they enter their very last year of high school. Although the projects seem pointless at the time, once you begin it and really try to do your best, you realize the reasons behind it. I’m sure there were many reasons, but the ones that I came up with are actually rather simple. When you leave high school, you have many choices with what you can do with your life. You can go to college, go into the force, or take a year or two off. Because of this, one reason is to get you prepared for the rest of your life, and to get outside experience in your chosen field of study. In doing this, you can figure out whether or not you really want to do what you have planned, get an idea of what you want to do if you have nothing planned, or see what you’re good at and enjoy. Another reason is to get experience in volunteering. Personally, I did not going into the topic that I want to study, I just volunteered because it’s hard to find things to do with Physics.…

My final project consisted of making a digital history on my family’s journey in coming to America from Dominican Republic. The technology that I used to create my project was an iPhone, iMovie, and Youtube. The process I undertook had many challenges. I decided to make a movie, which meant I had to go home for a weekend to video my grandparents and father. I also had to gather documents and pictures to support my movie, which was very difficult due to my grandparents not having many photos from the 1970’s. My father, on the hand, had many pictures of his childhood, so I made him the focus of my movie. In addition, I had to research what was occurring in Dominican Republic during the 1970’s to explain why my grandparents wanted to leave. After I collected all the information, I spent days putting the movie together on iMovie. Unfortunately, iMovie failed me many times, which made my project time consuming. One of my recordings of my father talking about his experience deleted by accident and I could not go home again to record him. Corresponding, I had to record my…
