Final Essay Assignment:
Evaluate the changes in your reading process for the entire class.
To do this, you must first think about your reading process at the beginning of the class. In a thesis-driven essay, explain how your reading process has changed and evolved. The reading strategies and tools that we have discussed should help you evaluate your current reading skills.
You must create a thesis statement that focuses on the changes that you see in your skills. Your introduction should consist of only one sentence that represents your thesis claim. Support this thesis with paragraphs that begin with topic sentences that are supported by examples, illustrations, or anecdotes of how you now read. As you explain the changes in your writing, also tell how or why you changed. Was it a group exercise that helped you, a lecture, group work, homework, instructor comments, and so on?
In your conclusion, discuss how you will use your new reading skills in the future. Make sure you begin your essay with an original title.
