1. Please tell us a bit about yourself (name, hometown, interests).
Hunter Schiro, I’m from Houston, Texas. I am interested in traveling the world, different cultures (especially Spanish), football, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, basically all sports..
2. What is the one thing that most excites you about being at the UT, Austin? Why?
Just being in the city of Austin is the most exciting thing to me. I love the people, the atmosphere, the energetic attitude, and all the awesome ways to have fun here. Plus, the city of Austin is a large change of pace from West Point, NY were I transferred from to come to UT.
3. What is the one thing that most concerns you about being at the UT, Austin? Why?
The heat….its pretty self-explanatory, but its really hot and sweaty walking to class every day.
4. What are some of the academic issues and topics that interest you? Have you thought at all about a potential major? I am an Economics major and a Spanish minor so obviously those topics interest me greatly. I am also very interested in studying abroad while I am enrolled at UT.
5. What motivated you to sign up for this course?
Obviously the need to complete a UGS 302/303 course is my main motivator, but my friend previously took this course and said he enjoyed it so I decided I may enjoy the topics discussed too.
