Their business summary states “Amazon.com, Inc. operates as an online retailer in North America and internationally. It operates retail Websites, such as amazon.com and amazon.ca. The company serves consumers through its retail Websites and focuses on selection, price, and convenience. It also offers programs that enable sellers to sell their products on company 's Websites, and their own branded Websites. In addition, the company serves developers and enterprises through Amazon Web Services, which provides access to technology infrastructure that developers can use to enable virtually various type of business. Further, it manufactures and sells the Kindle e-reader. Additionally, the company provides fulfillment services; miscellaneous marketing and promotional agreements, such as online advertising; and co-branded credit cards. One of Amazons competitors is eBay. It is considered as a competitor because they are the two largest e-commerce companies. They both offer a wide selection of products. However, Amazon buys from the manufacturers and sells directly to the consumer. Whereas, eBay buys from manufacturers and consumers and sells the product. Also, on eBay you can bid on the pricing, whereas Amazon.com is a set price. Ebay also sells pre-owned. Amazon direct competitors include Apple Inc. and Barnes and Noble, Inc. Amazons market cap is 114.36 Billion. Apple Inc. market cap is 481.71 Billion and Barnes & Noble Inc. market cap is 924.64 Million. “Our businesses are rapidly evolving and intensely competitive, and we have many
