Financial Issues of College Life
Many college students of today seek dreams of furthering their education to go on and be bigger and better things in this life, but many face financial problems along the way some are books, school supplies, tuition cost every semester, financial aid, credit/debit cards, and too much spending. The cost of books is extremely high some students pay over, 1,000-2,000$ on books… every semester, that’s outrageous! Some books may come with vouchers and financial aid even with that you may still have to come out of pocket. You also need school supplies and Mother and Father have been supplying you with that since Pre-K and things change every school year I feel that there are some things you don’t need in college as far as supplies that’s just more money out of pocket especially when you have more resources here like libraries, book stores, and study halls. Tuition cost is a BIG subject, a college freshman attending the University of Alabama A&M pays 14,000$ every semester for tuition some students take that lightly and choose not to come to class or party all night and as times get even harder with the new presidential election coming up money cannot be wasted on not getting your lesson. Some parents come out of pocket with no scholarships or financial assistance whatever the case may be if you want to further your education in life go to school and work hard because as the quote goes, “money don’t grow on trees”! Now thousands of students depend on financial aid to attend school. If a problem arises with a student's financial aid eligibility or account, it might bring a major financial crisis. A good majority of college students depend on Financial Aid and some are ineligible due to low academic performance affecting their eligibility, misplaced paperwork and failing to fill out the free application. Credit cards in the hands of college students can be a major problem. Students signing up for card without
