away. The film was a beautifully animated film, however, the lighting used throughout the movie did add to make the movie as enjoyable as it was. There were parts in the film that used lighting to their advantage. Also, the sound element in the film did contribute to the atmosphere and emotion the filmmaker was trying the audience to feel watching the movie. What made the contributions of sound element stand out in this film was that the majority of the audience at this event were children and it was clear that with the way the filmmakers used the element of light and sound even impacted an audience of children. The importance to be able to use lighting and sound the build an atmosphere for the audience without it pulling the audience from one film to another. It clear in certain parts of the film what the production was trying to do. However, towards throughout the film, it becomes more apparent what the theme of this film is focused on. The production was able to be successful in trying to get the audience to understand the central theme of the film, which is coping with a despair or disability.
Nonetheless, the film Finding Nemo’s title character has one undersized fin and isn’t a strong swimmer, but adversity and a similarly fin-impaired role model build his confidence. Similarly, Finding Dory has a character with a debilitating handicap who develops coping mechanisms, gets help where she can, forges ahead when help isn’t available and succeeds on her own terms. In a way, this is another “Believe in yourself and you can do anything” story. The actors of this film did a very well execution of their roles. With the majority of the audience being a different age group as I, it is possible that their interpretation of the film is different. This film is worthwhile, if there is ever the opportunity to experience this film I would encourage to take that
opportunity.
