Finding Nemo fits into the genre of animation because it uses computer graphics to portray the story. The producers use different animated characters like Nemo, Dory, and Marlin and make them come to life. “Finding Nemo thus creates a world in which tropical fish are sympathetic lead characters without sacrificing their fishiness in order to become mere human ciphers.” Nemo is an only child who is cared for by his father Marlin. Marlin is very protective of Nemo because he was born with an abnormal fin that causes him to look different. He is also protective because he does not want anything to happen to Nemo and because Nemo is the only family that he has left. Marlin does not want to let Nemo out of his sight. Nemo just wants to be treated like normal but his father treats him opposite. Since Marlin treats him differently, Nemo becomes hateful toward his father.
