The Introduction
The book I read: The Power of Positive Thinking
Author: Norman Vincent Peale (1898-1993), he was the pastor for almost 53 years of New York City’s Marble Collegiate Church, he was a creative author who mainly focus on spirituality of humanity in various area. “I was born and reared in humble Midwestern circumstances in a dedicated Christian home. The everyday people of this land are my own kind whom I know and love and believe in with great faith” (Peale, 1987). The reason why I chose The Power of Positive Thinking is to find the best way for dealing with my own emotion when I am facing some difficulties, and also construct a stronger personality and social living as well.
Insight from the book:
Generally, the people don't know how to control their own emotion and action when facing the emergency or negative situation, The Power of Positive Thinking teach us how to have a peace of mind and gain power from the struggle, when we are facing some negative situation try to think in a positive way or turn it into power (Peale, 1987). What is the positive thinking? A positive thinker always go things in the right and positive way, and try their best to find the best solution which can raise the happiness effectively. When people acquire the positive thinking and also learn how to apply through the daily life, positive thinking will help you to grow and close to success, you will be able to allow yourself to start to envision your life as being positive and powerful.
