Fish Guppy Research Paper
The guppy is a freshwater tropical fish that is found in lakes and river in south America. The guppy is a popular type of aquarium tropical fish it is also easy to keep then most other fish. The guppy has an amazing fish; the guppy is able to eat a mosquito larva before they hatch. A female guppy is usually bigger than a male guppy, the female guppy also has a small pattern on it tail. A guppy can live up to 3 to 5 years old but in the wild it can live slightly less. There are nearly 300 different kinds of guppies that are spread throughout south America. The guppy is also known as a millionfish it is also a very colorful fish. The male guppy has fewer patterns on its tail then a female guppy. The female guppy can have about 100 babies

    Guppies (Poecilia reticulata) are fish that are accustomed to warm water habitats that derive from the native fresh water streams and rivers in Trinidad (Magurran 2001 et al. Philip 2001). As the environment changes this will act as a key factor to shaping the behavior of the guppies, which will play an important role in mating and building courtship. Courtship by males encourages female receptivity, which will increase their chances of interaction (Farr, 1980).
