Fission Theory: When Was The Moon Formed?
When Was The Moon Formed?
We technically don't know when the moon was formed but scientist guess it was formed 4.5 billion years ago.

Different Theories and Hypothesis

Fission Theory
One theory is that the moon must have broken away from Earth, when the earth was still a rotating ball of molten rock. Earth might have been spinning so fast that part of our planet separated into space, this could be why our chemical composition is similar to the moon. Fission theorist stated that the Pacific ocean might have been the place where the moon material broke off.

Capture Theory
This theory says that the moon was created somewhere else in the milky way, while it was travelling past Earth the moon got trapped in Earth's gravity. That's why it’s

    3. Describe the “big splash” theory of the Moon’s origin? The Big Splash Theory is the current theory that explains the formation of the Moon. This theory states that approximately 4.5 billion years ago, the Moon was formed as a result of an object approximately the size of Mars colliding with Earth, causing less dense portions to be blasted into space. The clash created high temperatures and pressures, which in turn caused denser materials (like Iron) to become part of the Earth’s core. The less dense materials were blasted into space adding to the material orbiting the Earth. These less dense portions gravitated toward each other, creating the Moon. Evidence supporting the Big Splash Theory came from rock and soil samples taken during the Apollo landings on the Moon.…

Another possible theory is the Moon’s mantle melted from the South Pole-Aitken Impact, and the impact created a “low-gravity” (American Geophysical Union, Brown University) basin. The upward rebound of this basin caused partially-melted mantle to erupt- forming…

Scientist believe that the collision of earth with a smaller body caused the earth to tilt on it axis at 23 degrees. The blasting debris is said to have formed the moon. The period from the accretion of the earth to the formation of the oldest existing rocks can be retraced to the stratification or differentiation of the earth.…

Heated by meteorite impact, gravitational compression, &radioactive decay the iron/nickel weigh more than silicates so settled to earth’s center. 3. Earth was formed consisting of a dense iron-nickel core; an iron-rich silicate mantle and a silicate crust with continents emission of gases the formation of oceans and the atmosphere.…

Scientists estimate that the age of the earth is 4.54 billion years old. I can reconcile this “fact” with what Driscoll writes, that “the period of the earth is not of great concern in the Bible.” And I find it interesting that none of the writers or figures in the Bible refer to the age of the earth, but all are in agreement regarding a Divine Creation.…

Even though the moon is in space the earth’s gravity is still acting upon it, so a person could say that the moon is falling towards the earth. The reason that the moon doesn’t literally fall to the earth is because the moon is traveling at a constant rate of speed, which has the tendency to travel in a straight line. There is a correlation between the amount of force that the earth’s gravity has on the moon, due to its distance, and the moon’s tendency to travel in a straight line. The moon is constantly changing direction as it orbits the earth in an elliptical pattern, even so, it constantly has the tendency to travel in a straight line. The earth’s gravity pulls the moon towards it, causing it to not travel in a constant direction. Therefore, as the moon is trying to travel a single direction, it is constantly being pulled towards the earth. Since the earth is a sphere the moon does not get any closer or further away as it wants to travel in a straight line while being pulled towards the earth. The illustrations below show this…

Article 1: “Fusion: Maybe less than 30 years, but this year unlikely.” The article starts off by explaining the difference between fission and fusion. In Fission, atoms are bombarded and split apart, creating mass amounts of energy. The downfall of using fission is that there is not an unlimited amount of uranium 235 and radioactive waste is produced. In fusion, atoms are combined with very high energy achieved through intense heat. Fusion requires hydrogen, which is the most abundant element in the universe, so we would not run out of fuel. No radioactive waste is produced either, so it is clean energy. The article continues by talking about how fusion power plants out on their way. A breakthrough was made with by the National Ignition facility’s worlds largest laser than could potentially ignite a fusion reaction. Unfortunately, funding for fusion experimentation ran out on September 30th, so the science has been slowed down, but current estimates put fusion energy power plants invented in about 20 years.…
