Fitnessgram Test
Almost anything can happen in this new year; both the surges and downfalls. Of course, some events will be positive for us and negative; however, there are ambitions I hope for me, my life, my world. In 2016, I believe I will at least make the regular team for badminton. For one year, I strived to increase my skill in badminton. Every, single, day, I took an hour away from my life to practice techniques for this sport. For the upcoming Fitnessgram Test, I believe I will barely pass the test. Based on observations, my push-up and crunch techniques are ineffective and robust. As a result, if I continue to perform my unique tactics, then I will probably not pass the test this coming March. During these several months, I hope my self-control will …show more content…
If he and his proposals are prominent to the point where scares are sent throughout this diverse nation, then it seems that he does not speak for me, he does not speak for the working class, he does not speak for advancement, he does not speak for this country. Internationally, the center of attention currently is China. Their environmental pollution is incredible poor, their economic and stocks are crashing, and their supply of food, water, and young people are diminishing. As a result, 2016 will be a year of complete decline for China. Unfortunately, this downfall is expected; their Communist ideals have driven the country robustly in a temporary, booming nation before the long term consequences becomes reality. The economy in China will definitely crash as people are panicking; with the environmental efforts, the stocks are falling and so are investor’s trust in shares in China. For the environment, it is too damaged to be saved. China has exploited and ruined their rivers, wildlife, and plants to the point where this year will see a lessening water supply, more extinct animals and …show more content…
I would for people around the world to not be exceedingly greedy. In life, money in reality has no real value; we only believe it has value because we buy things with the money. However, in the sense of survival, money is actually only used for kindling. What I don’t understand is why billionaires and corporations demand more money when they are essentially making more money. For corporations, of course they have to make money; although the techniques they use are destroying the wellbeing of their workers. It truly hurts acknowledging that people are working in very poor conditions, for long working hours, for pennies a day. It is depressing how these people are forced to work for their survival; yet conglomerate corporations plainly ignore their conditions. I wish for these tactics to change; I want the United Nations to set international regulations on workers’ rights and conditions especially in developing countries. There needs to be change in this free market economy; because humans are more valuable than money. I also wish for the abolishment of slavery around the world. It may seem surprising, but in 2015, there are slaves in numerous countries around the world. In the modern day, human trafficking is the slavery of previous centuries. People are currently being traded around the world for ransom; and in turn, these people are used to work for them. This is truly an

He basically represents the opposite of what I stand for. He has no care for the well-being of minorities and marginalized groups- an issue that is absolutely one of the most important to me. Cole says he supports the development of renewable energy, but defends being pro-oil and supporting fracking by saying we should not “put environmental concerns over American prosperity.” I think that’s just a heinous excuse to not demand a solution to all that is literally destroying our planet. I don’t believe that one can care at all about our planet and environment and not be extremely opposed to fracking; renewable energy should be the only energy we allow. Lastly, he says: “I am committed to protecting the most vulnerable, including the unborn, with every vote I cast in Congress.” Yet are the women forced to make this extremely tough decision because they know it will be better for everyone in the long run not some of the “most vulnerable?” And what about the very vulnerable illegal immigrants who have come to the United States to seek a better life and are held to impossibly difficult standards in order to become citizens? What about the non-violent drug offenders he thinks deserve a mandatory minimum sentence? Are they not extremely vulnerable, considering these are often the types of people America has ostracized and allowed to live within the vicious cycle of poverty— poverty that is then taxed to fund their schools, inevitably perpetuating the school-to-prison pipeline? Additionally, the large number of people incarcerated for non-violent drug offenses, as well as the fact that we have for-profit prisons in this country, makes it pretty interesting to see the idea of a mandatory minimum sentence for non-violent drug…

During the campaign, Trump barely touched on the topic of environment conservation, which naturally brought up concerns with the voters. The Republican candidate quickly stepped up his game to secure a stance on the environment. He did not accept that climate change was real, wanted to dismantle the Paris Agreement and maintained a belief that clear water will be the most important issue that will be faced by the next generation. Even with the overwhelming research done on climate change, he continues to believe climate change and global warming to be a natural occurrence and not something in control of human beings. He believes any money spent towards maintaining the environment would be a waste, but at least believes that it should be spent on curing diseases and feeding the poor and clear water. Working towards the wind power and solar power…

I believe that people become too consumed by the concept of wealth and technology that they forget to give back to society. Thus, I believe that luxury items, commercial goods, extra technological devices, and currency should be abolished. As a result, I hope that people become more aware of their surroundings and return to nature. Humans should learn to communicate with people without being hidden behind an electronic screen. Without luxury goods, humans can become intrinsically motivated to achieve…

When machines and computers, profit and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism are incapable of being conquered. A true revolution of values will soon cause us to question the fairness and justice of many of our past and present policies. True compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar; it is not haphazard and superficial. It comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring. A true revolution of values will soon look easily on the glaring contrast of poverty and wealth. With righteous indignation, it will look across the seas and see individual capitalists of the West investing huge sums of money in Asia, Africa and South America, only to take the profits out with no concern for the social betterment of the countries, and say: This is not just" (King,…
