Five Stages Of A Hurricane
Tsunamis, floods, fires, earthquakes, blizzards, droughts, tornadoes, and thunderstorms are all dangerous types of natural disasters. Most of these are way better off than having a hurricane in your area. Ever heard of Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Katrina, or Hurricane Irma? These three hurricanes were very well known and took out many homes, buildings, and even schools. You are probably wondering what is exactly a hurricane and how can you prepare for one in your area. A hurricane is a huge rotating storm that contains of high winds of at least 74 miles per hour and much water. There are five categories stages of a hurricane. Category five is the worst stage to be in. The nation helps its citizens, or people, prepare for a huge hurricane storm and the many effects that come with it.

When hurricanes occur, the nation helps first by sending alerts to the citizens' local news stations after they are informed by the weather center. The nation is certain to make sure that stores are stocked up with the supplies and goods those near the hurricane need. Usually, our nation opens up shelters, such as

For citizens to stay safe during this storm, they do one or more of the following. Once citizens are alerted that a hurricane is about to take place around their area, the people quickly fill up on gas in case they have to evacuate. People usually evacuate to other cities far away from their original city or either to a shelter, like Red Cross. Before evacuation, people will board up their windows with wood. This process is done so that the branches and limbs from the wind will not fly into the window, causing it to break. People also bring in any outside furniture such as patio chairs and items of this sort, so they will not become moist from rain and fly away with the wind. Most times citizens, or people, will contact their own family or friends through social devices to check on one
