First of all, the military has always been very appealing to me. As a young boy, the military has always fascinated me. I grew up watching movies like Saving Private Ryan. I also played various military video games such as Medal of Honor and Call of Duty. I love what the military does and wanted to be a part of the big picture. I enjoy every last bit of the military. I am probably one of the few people who would actually like basic training. It amazes me how the military draws diverse people in from all over the country. The particular branch I would like to join would be the Army. It will always be an option for me to join.
No doubt, the benefits of joining are astronomical. I would receive full health coverage free of charge. If I get married my whole family would be covered through me. I have multiple medical problems that would cost me thousands without coverage. I would get to travel and see the world. Traveling has always been one of my favorite things to do. I would be taken places I could never afford to go for free. Each time you re-enlist you get to choose what position that makes location vary. I would have training and experience not many other people have. The United States military has a unique basic training that I could not receive anywhere else in the world. Everyone would respect me for serving our beloved country.
I took all the necessary steps, but ended up backing out. I took the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery entry test. I scored a 66 out of 99 on the ASVAB. Anyone scoring a fifty or above
